The ICN# resource files included with this file can be used to customize the Trash icon in the Finder. In the place of the "empty" Trash, you'll see a bomb with an unlit fuse. When the Trash is full, the same bomb will show with a lit fuse. Emptying the Trash will bring back the bomb with the unlit fuse. It's a nice departure from the usual Trash. I've also included the standard empty and full Trash ICN#s, so you can change your Trash icons back, if you decide you don't like the bombs.
I've not included any MENU resources to change the "Empty Trash" menu item (to, for example, "Boom!"), but you can easily change this with ResEdit.
You'll need ResEdit to replace the Trash ICN#s. This is easily done (just open the Finder file with ResEdit, open the new ICN# resources and copy the Bomb ICN#s to the Finder--they have the same IDs as the standard Trash ICN#s, and will replace the standard ICN#s), but you should definitely know what you're doing here, as fiddling around with ResEdit can be dangerous if you don't. Be sure (!) to save a copy of the Finder before you make any changes.
The bomb ICN#s are based on icons designed by imMedium Design. These guys have done the best Macintosh icon design I've ever seen. Check out their SICNs for Aesthete, the CICNs for the several color Finder icons INITs in the Public Domain, and their iConcepts stack for HyperCard, all of which is available on the major information systems.
